Antoine Semenyo Elated with Bournemouth’s Comeback Win Over Everton

Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed his excitement and gratitude following Bournemouth’s dramatic comeback victory against Everton in the English Premier League.

After the match, the 24-year-old shared his emotions on Instagram, posting, “8 minutes of madness! Comeback, 3 points, safe travel to all the fans, and see you after the international break ❤️ GIG,” perfectly encapsulating the whirlwind of emotions that the game evoked.

The Cherries were trailing 2-0 with just a few minutes remaining but managed to turn the game on its head with a sensational comeback.

The Toffees took the lead in the 50th minute through Michael Keane, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin doubled their advantage seven minutes later. However, Bournemouth refused to give up and pulled one back in the 87th minute through Semenyo’s goal.

Lewis Cook then leveled the score-line for Bournemouth in the 92nd minute, before Luis Sinisterra completed the comeback with a goal in the 94th minute.

With his impressive performance, Semenyo has now scored two goals and provided an assist in three Premier League matches for Bournemouth this season. The Cherries will face Chelsea in their next league game on September 15th after the international break.

The former Bristol City forward is expected to join the Ghana squad for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger on September 5 and 9, respectively. Antoine Semenyo will be hoping to continue his impressive form at the international level and help his country qualify for the prestigious tournament.
