Conte's Napoli Secures Crucial Win Against Bologna

Antonio Conte,  manager of Napoli, believes that his team’s 3-0 victory over Bologna in their Italian Serie A home opener marked a turning point in their season.

The win came after a humiliating defeat to Hellas Verona in their previous match.

Conte expressed his satisfaction with the performance and emphasized the importance of the victory for the team’s morale. “Today we had a great responsibility, that of giving a great response after the second half in Verona,” he said. “I had no doubts, these guys are good guys. I see them working… and I got important answers.”

The former Italy coach, who has won multiple league titles with Juventus, Inter Milan, and Chelsea, was brought in to revive Napoli after their disappointing 2023/24 season. He believes that the victory over Bologna is a positive step in the right direction.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Georgian winger, played a key role in Napoli’s victory, contributing with a goal and an assist. The 22-year-old expressed his excitement about playing under Conte and his determination to help the team achieve success.

With the win over Bologna, Napoli snapped their eight-match winless streak in the league. It was their first home victory since March, when they defeated Juventus 2-1. The victory gives the team a much-needed boost of confidence as they look to improve their fortunes in the  Italian Serie A.
