Luis Enrique Praises PSG's Performance After 6-0 Win

Paris Saint-Germain’s manager, Luis Enrique, has expressed his delight following the team’s emphatic 6-0 victory over Montpellier in their second Ligue 1 match of the season.

The resounding win showcased PSG’s ability to maintain their dominance even without Kylian Mbappé, who departed for Real Madrid this summer.

In an interview with DAZN, Luis Enrique praised the team’s performance and highlighted the positive atmosphere created by the home crowd. “It was a perfect evening. I felt it in training, the intensity of the pressing increased,” he said. “We scored six goals but we could have scored 10. Today was our night… the players were incredible.”

The goal scorers for PSG were Bradley Barcola (who scored two goals), Marco Asensio, Achraf Hakimi, Warren Zaïre-Emery, and Lee Kang-in.

The Spaniard emphasized the importance of the victory, especially considering it was their first home game of the season. “We wanted to give the fans some joy,” he added. “It’s a great feeling.”

PSG’s offensive prowess was on full display, with the team netting 10 goals in their opening two matches. Enrique attributed this success to the players’ individual brilliance and their collective effort on the field. “There have only been two games but I’m really pleased with what I’ve seen,” Luis Enrique stated.

PSG, now atop the French Ligue 1 standings with 6 points, will face Lille in their next league game on September 1.
