Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is the subject of a loan bid from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Wolves have submitted a proposal to bring the England international to Molineux on a season-long loan deal with an option to make the move permanent in 2025.
Ramsdale, 26, has found playing time limited at Arsenal following the arrival of David Raya from Brentford on loan last season. With Raya now signed on a permanent deal, Ramsdale is keen to secure regular first-team football. Despite his limited appearances, he was included in England’s Euro 2024 squad.
The Gunners signed Ramsdale from Sheffield United in 2021 for £24 million and has two years remaining on his contract. He has made 89 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions since his arrival.
Ramsdale was an unused substitute as Arsenal kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Wolves on Saturday. The Wolves, meanwhile, have Jose Sa as their first-choice goalkeeper.
The transfer window closes on August 30 at 11pm, and it remains to be seen if Ramsdale will make the move to Wolves or remain at Arsenal. With the Wolves set to face Chelsea in their next league game on August 25, a potential arrival of Ramsdale could provide a boost to their goalkeeping options.
