Ghanaian forward Bernard Tekpetey delivered a standout performance for Ludogorets, scoring a crucial goal in their 2-0 victory over Dinamo Minsk in the UEFA Champions League Qualification Round 2.
The match, played at the Huvepharma Arena on Wednesday evening, saw Tekpetey make a significant impact as he started and played for 78 minutes. The hosts took an early lead with Tekpetey’s goal in the 9th minute. The Ghanaian forward capitalized on a swift counterattack, receiving a precise pass from Polish midfielder Piotrowski. Tekpetey then unleashed a powerful shot that left Dinamo Minsk’s goalkeeper with no chance.
Ludogorets doubled their advantage just before halftime with a penalty kick. A well-executed one-two between Nedelev and Chochev resulted in Nedelev being fouled inside the box. He stepped up and confidently converted the penalty, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.

The result provides Ludogorets with a substantial lead as they head into the second leg in Hungary next week. Despite Dinamo Minsk having their chances, including a missed opportunity by Alexey Gavrilovich early in the game, Ludogorets maintained control and took a significant step towards advancing to the next qualification round.
Bernard Tekpetey, who has consistently shown strong form for his club, continues to strive for recognition. Although he has not featured for the Black Stars since the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Tekpetey remains determined to earn a place in the national team once again.
