Black Stars defender, Mohammed Salisu has called on Ghanaians to trust the young squad of the Black Stars.
Ghana will lock horns with Mali and the Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. In view of that, Head Coach for the team has named relatively a young squad for these crucial games.
However, the AS Monaco centre-back believes the current crop of Black Stars players have what it takes to get the needed results for country. He revealed this after the team finished its first training session at the Legon sports stadium.
“This game is very important for every Ghanaian. It’s World Cup qualifiers and we know how important for it is for Ghanaians and we have good young players. Ghanaians need to believe in the young players and I think we can do it better. We know it’s not going to be easy.” He said.
Ghana will lock horns with Mali in Bamako on June 6 before hosting the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on June 10.
